not firing?

replaced intake manifold gaskets which required pulling distributor. Can't get it to fire. Possible distributor cap not on correctly. I also want to know where the 2 wires on front of distributor go.

If you removed the distributor and did not follow the correct procedure the engine ignition timing will be off, and the engine will have no spark and will not run.

Here are further instructions as well. You will need to move the oil pump drive backwards slightly, FYI.
