My car was just fine 40 minutes ago. I went to start again, and the lights came on, but it is not cranking.

The lights come on but the engine is not cranking?

It sounds like the starter motor has gone bad, but can I ask if the engine will crank in neutral? Also, please go over this video which can help you fix it:

I would check the fuse #f27 in the smart junction box on the left side of the dash and fuse #f41 in the fuse panel under the hood. Here is a guide to help you:
