I have an interment problem with starting my Pontiac after driving for a while, letting it set while I shop, then try to start. All gauges come on, lights ok, shift lever in part, turn key nada. No hint of power to starter.

After 30 min to 1 hour, car starts immediately. It seems to be a random event. One guy told me to disconnect battery and rest computer, worked once. APPEARS TO BE A HEATED ITEM COOLING DOWN.

HELP HELP. This has been going on for a couple of years, new iac valve, new tempsensor, new mad, new starter and key block. Starter cable? Battery new. Need to test starter when hot/?

thanks Vern, Walnut Cove NC

Leave your computer alone. That is not the problem. Someone is going to have to troubleshoot the circuit while the problem is present by following a wiring diagram.

The first thing you might check is to see if the starter is receiving pwer on the small wire when the key is help in "start".
