74' 460 re-build. do you rotate crank shaft to tighten rocker arms? If so, is there an order in which to tighten them down? thanks for any info.

You want to tighten them while the valves are not unde3r pressure so rotate the engine by hand, or starter, until the exhaust valve (push rod) goes down all the way and then tighten the intake and exhaust valves. Here is the process by the book.
1. Put #1 cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke. Tighten intakes 1, 7, 8 and exhausts 1, 4, 5.
2. Rotate the crank 180°. Tighten intakes 4, 5 and exhausts 2, 6.
3. Rotate the crank another 270°. Tighten intakes 2, 3, 6 and exhausts 3, 7, 8.
4. Torque the stock non-adjustable 460 rocker fasteners to approximately 18–22 ft-lb.
Let me know if you have any issues.
