Noise when starting up and check engine light turns on

when I start it in the morning it starts fine with no noise. If I turn it off for a few minutes after driving then restart it sounds like a tractor/diesel starting up.

Check engine light comes on.

That is an internal engine noise and is not good.

It sounds like a main or rod bearing. They quiet down when the oil pressure builds up.

I would have the oil pressure tested to be sure it is not the oil pump.

Do not wait on this. That noise could get worse and leave you down.
