The car seems to shift fine. When car is not moving and idling the engine sounds fine. Rev engine there is no noise coming AC, alternator, power steering pump, serpentine belt is in good shape. When you start to drive forward there is no noise but as you accelerate the whirring noise gets louder.

Good morning,

Does this noise ever happen when you are not moving?

This could be a bearing somewhere or it could be engine or transmission related.
