When I took it for a test drive there was an intermittent whirring sound coming from the front passenger side wheel.
I think I done the install correctly but this was also my first time doing a wheel bearing replacement so I followed instructions from YouTube videos and online manuals.
I used a bearing removal/install press kit (purchased on eBay) to press the bearing into the suspension knuckle, install bearing circlip and then press the hub into the bearing inner race (while supporting the inner race of bearing from the backside of knuckle to prevent bearing failure), everything seemed to go together fairly easily, I just can't work out what this noise may be. The car handles okay and everything else seems fine except for the noise. I just don't want to drive it further and risk damaging the new bearings and hubs. I only drove it around 3 kms to test, or maybe the bearing and hub just need running in a bit more, maybe the noise might go away after a few more kms of driving?
I have no idea what I should do from here to fix or diagnose the sound so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning,

Can you upload a video of the noise so I can hear the noise?

Did you torque the hub nut? If so, what was the torque?

I took my driveshaft back out and re-pressed the hub into the bearing to make sure I had pressed it in all the way and it seemed to move slightly. So I must not have pressed it in far enough on the first try. I then put it all back together and ended up getting the driveshaft nut torqued up an extra 5mm from where it was previously. The noise has now gone so problem solved. Cheers for your input Roy.
