A knocking noise occurs only when I first pull out to the right. When I make successive right turns (from a stop), the noise does not occur. When I first make a right turn, I hear a knocking noise that comes from the left side. It is sometimes multiple "knocks" in succession, up to a maximum of 5. I cannot get the noise to occur once I continue driving. The noise does not occur while turning left. Your insight is appreciated.

Hello, I'm Danny.

It's hard to diagnose a noise without being near the car in person. What we ask you to do is use your cell phone to make a video of the noise and upload it here. It sounds like some type of front suspension issue. Once you can make a video of the sound get back to us and we'll go from there.

Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

The noise is actually a couple of clicks in succession. But only when pulling out and on some occasions, it will not make the noise when turning to the right. The noise is not able to be picked up with my cell phone. it is not loud enough.. Any idea is appreciated.

Hello again.

Since you mentioned it's a clicking sound that leads me to believe it's coming from the CV-drive axle assembly. The clicking sound you hear is usually a sign the bearing no long has grease and is starting make noise and eventually after time fail. Here are a few tutorials for you to view for cv-drive axles:

I've also attached a picture below of the cv-drive axle location on your car. Let us know if you have any further questions on this issue. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
