Metal on metal noise when driving

I took it to the dealership and had the brakes and rotors done. After about five days the noise returned only worse. I took the car back and now they say it is because I have mismatched tires. I have had many cars and have never heard of that. Is this a real problem?

Have them show you what is making the noise and I agree with you mismatched tires, how can that make a metal to metal noise.
Or just place the front or rear on jack stands and spin the wheel and listen your self.
