Hi,
I noted that you are a mechanic, so I have to assume you are using a scanner that can read transmission codes.
When you place it in drive, does it feel normal? Is reverse working? Also, do you have the tooling to check line pressure?
There are a number of solenoids that be causing an issue, but if the fluid is clean and full I would recommend checking line pressure.
Let me know
Joe

Hello,
Even thought here are no codes I have seen the input (turbine) shaft speed sensor cause this issue . Here is the location so you can check it out and replace it.
