If I get the gear shift and wiggle it or turn key on go up and back turn key hear click then start it. Why?

Sounds like a bad neutral safety switch/inhibitor switch/gear position sensor. It tells the computer when the transmission is in park or neutral to keep you from starting it while in gear. It also tells the computer what gear you are in while the engine is running to control the shifting.

Looks like this and is mounted on the transaxle where the shift cable attaches right under the air cleaner.
