This car has TPI and accel ECM. Ran fine and suddenly would not start. Was not sure of the problem and removed fuel filter and left fuel line open and sitting for six years. Replaced gas tank and fuel pump and all components inside tank. Replaced fuel filter. No power to throttle body position sensor or injectors. Found bad inline fuse to ECM and replaced. Now I have power to everything and the fuel pump is coming on properly, fuel pressure gauge is reading properly at 42 psi, have pulse on injectors when tested with noid light, everything seems to be in order and yet no start. I can crank and spray carburetor cleaner into throttle body and car starts long enough to burn spray then shuts off. My next step tomorrow will be replacing the ignition module inside the distributor and testing/replacing the pull piece/pick up (the magnetic thing) beside it. I will replace the cap, button and possibly plug wires as well. My question is this: how can I have fire, pulse, resistance and voltage and still no start?
