Possibly the starter is getting hot from exhaust, might be time for a new or rebuilt unit. The starter in your car can be rebuilt also. Troubleshoot first. Does battery have 12 volts, starter getting 12 volts check with volt meter. Are battery cables clean and tight on battery and the starter, solenoid?
