was giving the vehicle listed above trail rated, knew it would start before I got it. I put a brand-new battery and starter in it. The ignition switch and the pin everything around that area doesn't look broken or messed up. I tried putting it in neutral to start but nothing. But the main issue is when you turn the key everything in the inside works, dash lights, door locks, windows, seat, etc., but when your turn the key fully nothing it's like it's not getting power somewhere. any info would be welcomed.

Hi Rob here.

Are there any codes stored in a computer? Are there any added electronics or modifications to the Jeep?

When my husband does the code reader it didn’t pop up any codes and everything on that Jeep is factory stock other than the new battery and starter.

Just to be sure you did check that 12 V battery as low voltage will cause this issue as well. I just want to make sure that was checked.

To be honest I do not know what battery was but in it my husband did it we couldn’t find a top post anywhere, so he converted it to a side post I know it’s one from Walmart.

Okay, perfect. As long as the engine is not locked up or seized, it’s going to be a problem with either the battery terminal or grounds going from the battery to the starter so I would check that next to make sure they are not damaged corroded loose, etc. If all of that checks out okay, it can be a problem with the TIPM, which is the complete under hood fuse box they’re not to fail and these trucks and cause the issue you are having. Lastly, it can be a problem with the PCM, but not as common. This video link also will help you understand how the TIPM can cause the problem. I’m here if you need further assistance throughout. If you found this information helpful, I would not refuse a tip for my help as we do work for free again, I’m here if you need me. Here’s a link if you would like to send me a tip.
