I recently changed out the water pump was you know it up to the timing chain. I also changed out chain tensioner. Make sure all my timing marks are lined up timing chain find out for the marks on the sprockets. So I went to start the motor and turns over sounds good but I have no fire. So I ran an auto scan on it in a code team up saying that I have an open circuit on the ignition. what should I look for a fuse relay or something else? not quite sure where to look on the car for these circuits. He didn't want to fire up at first but then it shut off.

Hi,

An open in the ignition can mean several things. Can you provide the diagnostic trouble code you retrieved? Also, an open simply means something was disconnected. Recheck the wiring around where you were working to make sure nothing is disconnected or damaged.

Also, is it possible for you to record it cranking and upload it for me to hear?

Let me know if the starter is engaging, if it is ignition spark you don't have, or if it is fuel-related.

Let me know.
