Vehicle has no electrical power?

Hi,

Are you certain the new battery is good? Are the battery terminals clean and tight?

Also, I attached a pic below. It shows that power goes from the positive side of the battery to the fuse box under the hood. I need you to use a test light and check to see if there is power at the fuses.

Do this and let me know the results. If you have absolutely nothing electrical that works, make sure the battery is charged, the connections are good, and the connections weren't installed backward.

Thanks for the response. How would I know if the new battery is not good? I don't have any kind of tester equipment to use. The negative cable is as tight as the screw will go but when putting it on the post it's still a little bit loose. Would the alternator cause the electric issues? I checked the battery fuse and starter fuses they were in good shape.

The alternator would cause charging issues, but unless there is a short, it won't drain the battery. We need something to test with. Could you get your hands on a test light? You can get them for around five dollars.

If the terminals are loose, that can be the cause. If you have the bolt/nut as tight as it goes and the terminal isn't tight, the terminal likely needs replaced.
