When cranking the engine there is spark at the points, but none at the end of the plug wires.

Good morning,

Is there spark coming out te top of the ignition coil?

Check there first. If you have spark, then inspect the cap and rotor.

If you do not have spark, it may be the coil itself that has failed.

Also, make sure the point gap is .018.
