I have a Toyota Ipsum 3s engine with coil packs. The engine just stopped while in motion.
And after going through it I discovered that it had no spark coming.
But when I power a red/ black wire on the OBD the spark is coming, and the car is starting.
The problem is I don't want to use a jumped power to the OBD, I want to see where the problem is by following the wires correctly.
Kindly help me with a wiring diagram.
Thank you

Hi,

Please understand, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

If the engine is running and then stalls and won't restart, it sounds like there could be an issue with the crankshaft position sensor. When they begin to fail, heat adversely affects them until they cool.

If you have a live data scan tool, check to see if there is an RPM signal while cranking the engine when there is a no start condition. Also, take a look through this link and let me know if anything mirrors what you experience:

Thank you for your response.
It has an OBD 1 and I don't have a scan tool for OBD 1, the crankshaft sensor is okay, I am not having power to the coil packs unless I power them and when I do that am having the spark.

Hi,

Power should be supplied by the ignition switch/fuse. Have you checked all fuses? Also, in 1995, the auto manufacturers were required to have obd2 systems. Are you certain it is an OBD1? If it is, see if this link helps.

Let me know.
