Bought this car and it was fine for a while, but after changing fan motor and installing a new radiator the transmission would not shift out out first and speedometer quit working. Change the speed sensor and drove it for about three weeks to work (fifty miles one way) then when coming home one day it did the same thing. Changed speed sensor again, but no help. Any suggestions?

Have you checked to see what codes are in the computer yet?

I disconnected the battery to see if it would reset the computer because when I did this before it actually started shifting again, but now it shows no codes.

So is it working okay now or? You could have a defective sensor, is it an AC Delco sensor?
