no reverse lights

put a new neutral safety switch didn't check for bad grounds found fuse had reverse lights label, but was empty no plug in. both bulbs are okay. tried to wiggle the shifter but no luck. the socket look okay. tried a test light but did no light up. this was only one side.

Hi,

To start, the first two pics below show the wiring schematic for the back-up lights. When you say it was only one side, do you mean the opposite side is working or you only checked one side?

If you look at pic 1, it shows that fuse 51 in the under hood fuse box is what powers the lights. Pic 3 shows the location of the fuse in the box. Is that the one that is missing?

If there is a fuse there, in addition to checking the fuse, make sure there is power to and from it. Here is a link that explains how that is done:
