No Reverse

Have a K3500 series pickup with crew cab. i Have no reverse. All forward gears work fine. When put rear on blocks, wheels spin in reverse but not when on the ground. Had made a soft high pitch sound prior to loss of reverse. Any ideas? What model transmission would it be on this vehicle?

trans will need to be pressure tested in shop

it sounds like you have clutch packs slipping for the reverse gear, the transmission will need to be rebuilt.
