My check engine light came on. Takes a long time to get to full power. Took to mechanic and hooked up to a computer and they said it was a knock sensor. would that cause this problem?

Hello,

This means the knock sensor has shorted out and needs to be replaced, here is a diagram on the sensor and its location. It could be unplugged as well. You may need to jack the car up

Please let us know what happens. I am curious ;)

Cheers, Ken
