I thought my fuel pump went out. Checked fuses and relays and all were good. Went got another fuel pump. Installed it. Didn't work. Took it back got another. Still didn't work. Checked and made sure the harness was connected good and it was.

I'll be darned if I'm going to drop the tank again. So, I cut a access hatch over the fuel pump. (If you've never used a grinder or aren't very savvy with one or not light handed and careful don't do this) You could mess something up or very easily blow up. I do not recommend cutting anywhere near the fuel tank or lines with any kind of power tools!

Anyway, I still have the original pump. Long story short. I watched some videos on YouTube. I ended up cutting the power and ground on the pump. I touched the wires to the corresponding teeth on a jump box. The fuel pump came to life. Needless to say I went to cursing. Lol.

My question is, what do you recommend that I do next?

Please and thank you, Steve

The first thing is to check if you have spark.

What led you to the pump? Did you have a crank/no-start condition? Did the engine stall while you were driving? Under what conditions are you checking for voltage to the pump or checking to see if it's running? Have you read the diagnostic fault codes?
