I have a new aftermarket stereo and used the crimp wire connectors for the wire harness. I matched all the colors, but the radio gets no power. There is a solid connection for the ground, as well as the constant power wire and accessory power wire; but the radio will still not turn on. My car is not equipped with an amp.

Very doubtful that the colors that the car uses are the same that the stereo uses. You need to get the wiring diagram for your vehicle and use it to determine which colors do what. Attached is the vehicle side. White/yellow power is the battery, The black/pink is the switched ignition power.

By reading what is printed on each wire on the car side and what the manual says for the wires on the stereo side, the wires are matched correctly. I am thinking there is a short in the harness itself so going to take it back for an exchange and see if that works.
