My car starts and runs and sounds fine, no noise. It has no power pulling a hill. What is the problem?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

Whenever someone mentions a loss of power, the first thing I suspect is a plugged catalytic converter. Take a look through these two links. One discusses symptoms and the other how to check for a plugged converter.

If the check engine light is staying on, have the computer scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free. If there is a trouble code or codes retrieved, let me know what they are so I can better guide you.

Let me know what you find.

Okay, well I had the catalytic converter checked out and everything is good nothing wrong with that. Is there anything else that it could be?

If the converter is good, there could be a few other things. Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked for a vacuum leak?

Let me know what has been done so far. I attached three links. The first discusses different reasons for low power. The next two I included if you wanted to check fuel pump pressure or for a vacuum leak.

Let me know.
