I was hooking everything back up after motor swap and I accidentally hooked up a ground wire to the positive battery cable and smoke came out of the back of the motor from somewhere.I unhooked wire and hooked it to the negative battery cable and tried to start the truck and nothing.

Hi,

Behind the engine is odd. Could it have been coming off the starter and up along the firewall? Does anything electrical work?

Do me a favor. I need you to start by checking three of the maxi fuses in the underhood fuse box. Take a look at the pic below. In addition to checking the fuses, make sure power is present.

Let me know what you find.
