No power, no crank, key gets stuck in ignition

When you turn the ignition, no crank, no lights, nothing and the only way to remove the key is to remove the top cover of the column and press the solenoid over for the release. What has gone wrong, drove fine, no issues when I drove it last.

Reviewing videos, makes me think the electric motor in the shifter is bad or the electrical motor in the ignition. but truly lost for the correct answer.

Have you checked for a blown ignition fuse? Lets start there. Take a look in the under hood fuse/relay box and check the ignition fuse I circled in the attached picture. Picture 2 shows the entire fuse/relay box.

I don't know if you need this, but I am attaching links to help with checking fuses, circuits, wiring, and using basic testing equipment.

I honestly feel one of the fuses has blown, so keep your eyes open when checking. There could be a different one leading to the problem.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions. Additionally, if nothing at all is working, check to make sure the battery has a charge and something hasn't drained it as well as battery terminal connections. There are three main fuses in the under hood electrical box labeled battery (50 amp fuses). Check them too. In picture 3, I circled the ones I am referring to.
