No power in the wiper motor

The spray comes on but the wiper does not. Check the motor and it is working but there is no electrical supply to the motor. Any diagrams will be helpful.

Could you please verify the year, model and engine and maybe country of origin. I do not show a 733I after 1984 and as far as I can find the 7 series never used anything smaller than a straight 6. Would hate to give you the wrong diagrams and have you fry a controller.

Sorry, it is a 730i e38. The year is 1996 and the country of origin is Germany.

Okay, these are the diagrams BMW shows for that system. It appears that you should have battery power on the brown/green wire at the wiper motor with the switch on. That is fed through from the general module, which also powers the washers.

You should also have battery power through the wiper relay from fuse F3 a 30 amp.
I would start at the fuse and the relay.

Not sure it was much help. BMW has some of the most confusing service information. However, the way that system works testing for voltages on the wiring should point to where the problem is.
