When I put in the key there is no power?

The key will turn all the way to start but will not turn all the way back as it should. The brake pedal is up all the way and hard cannot be pressed down. The shifter will not move. The battery is fully charged. I drove it home and about 2 hours later I went to leave and there was nothing. please help.
