I recently did a 1 wire alt. Swap on my 73' Lincoln MkIV and ever since have not been able to get any power to the car. Not even the door lights will come on. I've looked online for wiring diagrams and solutions but nothing yet. I've also verified the battery is fully charged as it is brand new. All cables are intact/grounded and held together at a junction post so they're should be no issue of conductivity. I figure there's a wire that I disconnected during the alt. Swap that cut power to everything.

Hi,

The alternator on the vehicle should have more than one wire to it. Can you take a picture of what you have and upload it for me to see?

Also, if the battery is good, there should be power to the solenoid. Are you getting power to it?

Let me know. Also, I attached a picture of the alternator connections I feel you should have. Let me know if it is correct.

Joe
