Hi, my dad passed away and left me his car listed above it is a Fury 2 with a 318 poly engine. i was told by my dad before he passed that it was not getting oil to the tappet covers. he thought oil pump may be bad. what is your thought on this? He had said i would have to pull the engine to get the oil pan off? The car has sat for like ten years in a garage.

Good afternoon.

Yes, it is possible the pump is bad and yes, it would be easier to pull the engine to do it.

If you are going to pull the engine, I would consider rebuilding the engine while it is out.
