Wipers quit working so installed a used wiper motor from my local pull your own parts. Now my intermittent/mist wipers does not work at any speed. Wipers work on low and high and the mist one wipe and off. So tried a second wiper motor since both are still under warranty. I have read that a module is known to go bad in these GM car's to cause my problem I am having. But at my local part's place said he diagram does not show a module that it must be built inside the motor or to the side of it. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! By the way, I also switched out the multi-function switch because I know they can cause many problems. Still no intermittent wipers. Was thinking it had something to do with the wire clip that sits on a (STUD) like where the motor mounts on its plate as reference to how it is mounted and bolted down. Cannot see where this clip about two inches long hits or even does anything myself. Thanks for any information or ideas on how to get my wipers working correctly in all positions. Again thanks!

Good morning.

Was this the original issue when you replaced the motors?

Are the replacement motors the exact part number of your original motor?

The module is inside the motor. I attached a picture of the correct motor with the module from rock auto.

Thanks Roy, yes same exact motor, one came out of a 2003 LeSabre same as mine. The other motor come out of a 2004 LeSabre but are the same motors from a 2000 to 2005 I have been told from my local parts store. Just different ratio on the 2004 I was told, but all the same motors and should work. Posted images but apparently after your post Roy with your image. Again thanks!

Okay, got it. But were the part numbers the same? There are different part numbers for these motors. Remember, parts guys are not technicians.

Not sure about the original part number it is gone for good. Just got off the phone with the local Buick Dealership and they said from a 2000 to 2005 the wiper motors were the same. So apparently I am thinking my problem is in my wiring from my multi-function switch. I had to replace it when brought two year's ago come this November. Seems like I had a extra yellow wire on the switch that I did not have on my original switch. Guess I will take a look later today. But on the two wiper motors hard to believe that both modules could be bad.

Yes, but remember, you are using junkyard parts.

Keep me updated.
