Heater not working properly

Have a no heat problem. Have flushed the heater core, both inlet and outlet lines are hot, as they were before I flushed. The 3 actuators are all moving the plastic valves when the control knobs are turned..I could visibly see them move. The A/C works fine.. no heat at any vent. Blower blows, no heat.
Is it possibly the A/C Heat Control Switch? Any thoughts?

Hi,

If both heater core hoses are hot, then heat is getting into the vehicle. It's not being distributed.

When you say the three actuators, which are you referring to? The blend air door actuator on this vehicle controls the air temperature entering the cab. Is that one of the actuators you are referring to?

If you look below, I highlighted the blend door actuator. It is under the dash on the HVAC box (left-hand side). Did you check that one?

If not, that is where we need to start. Let me know. If you haven't, remove it and see if it is operating when you change from heat to A/C.

Hello, yes I looked at 2 actuators under the passenger side and also the one (blend door) under the steering column. It moved a white lever when I turned the thermostat knob from hot to cold. Is it possible the actuator is moving parts on the outside of the housing and not really moving the door inside?

Hi,

It is possible for that to happen. Since you see the actuator moving, the problem doesn't see electrical. So, it is likely a mechanical issue.

Do me a favor. Remove the actuator and see if there is any resistance on the lever it moves. Move it manually in both directions to see if you go from heat to A/C.

I attached the directions below for removal. (pic 1)

Pic 2 shows what you will see when it's removed. Make sure the two levers I highlighted are moving and tight.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks man, will do today. I see I failed to mention that it is a Automatic Temperature Control unit if by chance these have more issues than a manual control.

I sent a reply earlier, doesn't look like it went through.
I got it working thanks to your help. Arm #1 wasn't engaged to arm #3. The actuator had been replaced at some time and might have never been installed correctly, as the car was from south Florida and the A/C might have the only thing used.
