My car has duel climate control and only blows out cold air in all positions. Loud ticking noise at start for about thirty seconds then it stops, but still no heat at all.

Good morning.

Make sure the coolant level is correct.

Make sure the heater hoses are hot to the touch at the firewall.

The ticking may be the blend door actuator. that controls the heat in the car.

It feels like the one that is ticking is coming from under the glove box, can this be the one that causes no heat on both sides?

I would agree with ACEMASTER. The blend door might also be stuck in a position where it would only let cold air vent, so I would remove the old actuator and see if you can manually move the door.

So do you think it is the blend actuator or the heat actuator? I noticed both are located behind the glove box, the reason I ask is the only time the ticking starts if when I adjust the temperature, it does not happen when I direct the air flow to different spots.

The blend door actuator is the heat actuator.

Remove it and move the door manually.
