The vehicle listed above is a limited model. L screen on sync and instrument cluster went black one day. I can get the sync to turn on, after multiple things I've tried. However, the system off to save battery shuts it off. I updated sync once since it occurred and now ford. Com says it needs another. Resets haven't worked. Replacing the alternator and making sure the battery is 100% charged have not worked either.

No blown fuses.
Reset methods found do not work.
Leaving unplugged from the battery overnight doesn't work.
Obviously replacing the alternator did not work and charging the battery to full did not work either.

If anyone can think of anything I have not listed I will let you know if I can if I have tried it and if it was successful or I'm willing to try again I'm willing to try anything it's been since the beginning of June that I have not had any gauges radio climate control idiot lights etc.

Yep, the display screen goes out all the time especially after the summer heat. To confirm the instrument cluster and radio display are both not working? Also, can you confirm power at fuse #11 in the BCM which powers the cluster?

This guide can help:

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi,

Have you tried scanning the can-bus to see if there are codes stored in the APIM (accessory protocol image module). I mention it because of the radio and Sync issues.

If you haven't checked, I would scan the entire can-bus to see if something shows up.

Here is a link explaining what I'm referring to:

Let me know.
