No fuel, no start, checked fuse, okay, checked inertia switch, 6.5v there with key on, can't find fuel pump relay, soldered on board? Power goes through PCM relay from the diagrams I have found, only 100,000 on truck. Intermittent start/no start then it would not start at all. Fuel pump relay/PCM relay/fuel pump?

Hi,

If there is one, it's behind the radio. However, I believe you are correct. It is integral.

I attached the directions below from Ford for the fuel pump relay removal. However, read the highlighted note at the top. If I recall, that is correct, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

The remaining pictures are of the entire powertrain management circuits. I highlighted everything related to the fuel pump. I'm not sure what you have done so far, but it sounds like a lot. Use schematics as a guide to see where power is lost.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. I had to cut the pics in half to make them readable for you. I did overlap them.

Joe, thank you so much for the diagrams and insight! I had previously looked behind the radio, no relay that I could find. But you answered my primary question, I am getting 6.5v at inertia switch so per the diagrams that tells me the (assuming integral) fuel pump relay is powered and working. I read somewhere that the power through the safety circuit is reduced so that sounds correct. So, the pump must have failed, or there's a bad connection/chewed wire perhaps, will drop tank. Thanks so much!

Shaun, you are very welcome. Once you get the tank low enough, see if there is power to the pump.

Also, I don't know if you need them, but I attached the directions below for the removal and replacement of the tank.

Take care and if possible, let me know what you find.
