I cannot get the dash lights and/or running lights or taillights to work. i have replaced the bulbs, went through the wiring, put a new headlight switch in, and checked fuses. With a power probe i can power the brown wire in harness to turn everything on but i cannot get the truck to power the brown wire how it is supposed to. please help.

Hi,

Interesting. This is a straightforward circuit. Power from fuse 4 in the fuse box goes direct to the headlamp switch via a tan wire with a white tracer. From there, power from the switch goes to the brown wire you mentioned.

I attached the wiring schematic below. When you checked fuse 4, did you confirm there is power to and from it? If not, do that.

Let me know.

Take care,
