No D1, D2, D3. Do have reverse and park

Just driving down the street, turned a corner, and lost acceleration. Car coasted to stop but then unable to move forward in drive. Gear shift moves into drive position but will not go forward. I was advised may be linkage broke. Does this sound correct?

Roy, the mechanic could not bring up any codes. The transmission fluid level was good and no leaks. No sounds or warnings prior to the incident. The mechanic? just put it on a hoist to check for leaks and in minutes told me no codes so indicates a severe internal problem which means the transmission needs to be replaced. I have been told otherwise by others. I was advised could be bushings and linkage problems more probable. The car goes into reverse and park. Just no drive forward.

Okay, based on your information, I agree with the mechanic. You have internal issues in the transmission and needs to be either replaced with a rebuilt unit or used unit.
