I can drive the truck for about 2 miles and then the speedometer quits working, transmission goes into 2nd and vehicle starts missing. Temperature gauge goes up. Someone said it could be VSS sensor. Also OBD2 show speed sensor low circuit. No cruise control.

Hello,

The cruise will not function if the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is faulty.
Step one should be getting that sensor checked out. Make sure there is no corrosion on the connector and the sensor is secure. It is likely a bad sensor.
The VSS is located on the base of the output shaft (see diagram).

If you do end up replacing the sensor be sure to clear the trouble codes.

Let me know what you find out.

I have attached the diagrams for your reference.

Thank you.
