My car was borrowed by my brother and he said the car just suddenly shut off on him while driving. Had it towed home and found a P0340 code. Replaced the battery, alternator, and the front camshaft position sensor and it ran for a little while but it shut off again in the test drive. Replaced the other cam sensor on the back of the cylinder head and then it wouldn't even try to crank.
So we've replaced the starter (even though the old one tested good) and now the neutral safety switch and still just one click every time the key is turned. I've swapped the relay with a known good one, tested the relay with 12v and checked continuity, and bypassed the relay all together and took power straight to the starter solenoid. It just sparks a little upon closing the circuit.
I'm all out of ideas, hoping you may have one or two.
The clicking is coming from the power distribution box, not the starter. The rest of the car has power.
