It had a bad battery about 8 months ago. Replaced it. A week later the radio started shutting off out of nowhere. It kept getting worse and eventually got to where I couldn't turn it on. I ended up taking the radio out of it. Then the cigarette lighter quit working. About 4 months later brings us to a week ago, and this is going on: The car started and then shut off. I rolled the windows down and then lost all power inside the car. The headlights will turn on, and I can turn the interior light on if I push the button. No dash lights at all, no sound or click when I try to start it, and they key won't turn all the way off and come out. I have to use a screwdriver and push the button under the steering column to release the key. I've tried jumping it, a new battery, replaced negative cable to battery, checked fuses, replaced ignition switch, and replaced the starter relay, still nothing. Can lock and unlock the car with the key fob, but can't roll up the windows.

Chances are the positive cable is bad or one of the main fuses is lose or bad. Here are the main power wiring diagrams so you can see there is nothing but fuses powering the systems so you must be losing power at one of these connections. Here is a guide to help you use a tight light which will show us where the power is lost.

Here are the wiring diagrams, check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

We finally got power to the inside of the car. There was a wiring cluster under the steering column that came unplugged. We got the windows rolled up and the will now crank, but it wont start. I'm thinking maybe we have a fuse or relay that was left off. So now we are checking that.
But I am wondering if we need to have the key reprogrammed? We replaced the ignition switch, not the tumbler, just the switch at the back of the key tumbler. I seen several videos that tell you that you must obtain a new key or get your key reprogrammed if you replace the ignition tumbler. But I cant find any information about the key for replacing the ignition switch. Do you know?

The switch is okay to replace without programming. Once you change the key, that is when programming must be done.
