Transfer case motor stuck in 4×4 low. Replaced motor, sensor above motor wire out, replaced with junk yard sensor. Also replaced water pump and pulleys, thermostat, serpentine belt, replaced ignition switch, all lights come on in run, 4×4 light stays on when car is running, it's blinking. To get car to start I jump solenoid on firewall, checked wires the fuses there is no power on small wire from ignition to solenoid on firewall in the start position with key. Is that wire my problem? Because the 4×4 blinking I think that sensor is like neutral switch. Also and not sure but that won't let car start either. I'm so lost help.

Good afternoon,

I attached a diagram of the starting system for you to view. Check the fuse listed for power with the key in the start position to be sure the ignition switch is sending a signal.

Let me know the results so we can get to the root cause of failure

Also, two very common issues like this that I have had at my dealership are 1. Water intrusion in the interior fuse box due to leaking windshield. 2. Aftermarket alarm system wiring or control box faulty. Just a thought, but very easy to verify because the wiring is under the driver's side of the dash along with the fuse box.

There is a relay box next to under hood fuse box, it has two relays in it haven't tested them yet, but there is a lot of corrosion on both. Don't know what they are for but going to test when I can. Thanks, get back soon. Also, my obd-|| scan tool connector says there is a data link error. Radio is only working if I remove negative. From battery wait about 15 minutes reconnect negative. As soon as you turn key to start radio stops working.

The fuse is in the fuse box in the car, not under the hood.

The only relay for the system if you look at the diagram, is under the hood on the firewall.

Those 2 relays are not in the circuit.

Did you verify power to the fuse I circled?

The two relays are the rear wiper up and rear wiper down relays. Are there any aftermarket things added to your vehicle? If there is, we will need to return the wiring to factory form in order to diagnose using factory diagrams.
