I found a broken large black and white wire . It looks to be my main ground wire for ecm. I tried fixing it and now I have no crank no stsrt before I touched it I had crank but no start. The tape has been removed since the pic. The arrow points to where I tried to ground it. I also replaced all 50 a 40 a and 30 a cartridges and necessary fuses. Also bought a brand new battery . I want to go buy the correct wire and ring terminal to fix. But since the wire is coming up not down I think I should bypass this and repair it from ecm pin to a new ground. Am I doing it right?

Hi:

It's tough for me to tell what I'm looking at in the pic. Is there one black wire with a white tracer or two wires, one black and one white?

I took a look through my wiring schematics and found one that I question. See pic below. That ground would prevent it from cranking.

Let me know. Also, is there anything electrical that works on the vehicle such as lights, the horn, or anything else?

Let me know.

Joe

See pic below. Note: the primary ground in the pic (rear of engine) has a splice in it. I can't be sure without being there, but that may be where it came apart. It's just a theory, but let me know your thoughts.
