I recently put in a new battery and starter and still no crank no start. Could it be a starter relay switch?

Hi,

It could be a few things. First, see if it will start in neutral. There could be an issue with the park/neutral switch.

Next, if you look at pic 1, I circled a fuse that needs to be checked in the underhood fuse box. Pic 2 shows the starter relay. You can switch it with a different relay having the same part number to see if it makes a difference or here is a link that explains how to test one:

If everything checks ok, then we need to confirm there is power getting to the starter when the key is in the start position. In the starter, there is a smaller wire. The large one has 12v at all times direct from the starter. The smaller one only gets 12v when the key is in the start position. You will need a helper to check for that. Here is a link that explains it more in detail:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe

So, I took a test light attached the gator clamp on a ground and touched both sides of the fuses the ones that didn’t light up or only light up on one side. I replaced and they still didn’t light up. Is it possibly a relay?

Hi,

If the light didn't turn on when testing on either side, that means there is no power to that fuse. Let me know which fuse it was. I need to look through schematics to determine where the power is coming from for that specific fuse.

Let me know.
