Changed out the Spark Plugs and the Transmission Fuel and filter. After that I had to reset the key fob on the car because after unhooking the battery it reset it. So after reprogramming the key fob, and tried to Turn the engine over it was a No Crank, No start, No Click. So I tested everything including the starter and the battery and the battery was bad and the starter was Bad so I changed out both of them. After that I was still doing the same thing. So tested All the Fuses and relays with a circuit tester and Multimeter they were all good. Also checked all the grounds on the car and there is no problem there. I even ended up taking the Alternator off and took it to Auto zone to have it checked, they told me that is was good. So the last thing that I’m guessing that could be wrong with it is it could be the Neutral Safety Switch but I don’t know. I even checked the harness for that and it’s all in working conditions. But the Neutral Safety Switch keeps popping out of gear when I stick it in Park. Any Ideas on what could be the problem, is it a Computer issue, a ground Problem or what?

Yes. This could be the neutral safety switch so we need to test that. I attached the testing. Before you do that, does the theft light go out in the dash when trying to start the vehicle? If not, we need to go down that route.

If it does, then run through this testing and let me know what you find. Thanks.

There is no Theft light on the dash, the only lights that come on is the Oil light and the door lights and that’s it.

Sounds great. Running through that Neutral safety switch test I think will tell us a lot. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. I will wait to hear back from you. Thanks for the update.

Alright so I checked everything you told me to check and everything is good, so the only thing I’m looking at now is the neutral Safety Switch it self. I checked the harness that goes to it and it’s giving off a good reading to the battery I even try to reset the ECM by unhooking the negative Battery terminal and the main fuse for 30 mins to see if maybe it would turn over but it didn’t. So idk if maybe it would need to have a new ECM or a New Neutral Safety Switch which I know for sure it does bc it’s not wanting to stay in park unless I get under the hood and pop it back in park by that way.

Okay. Can you just let me know what the voltage is for point 1 and 2 while cranking the engine? You could be correct but with that info that it will not stay in park points to an issue with the shift cable. When you manually put the vehicle in park are you able to start the vehicle?

No it will not start at all, not even a clicking sound. The only lights that will come on on the dash is the oil light and the door lights. Inside the cab everything works besides the radio, the cigarette lighter and only the driver side window goes down.

Okay. Try setting your meter up on these points one at a time and then turn the key to the crank position and see what the voltage is. When cranking you should have 12 volts on both sides. Let me know what you find. Thanks
