No crank no start?

No power at the starter trigger wire connection at the solenoid when starting. Where does trigger wire contact the starter relay? can't find it on the TPIM.

Hi,

Power to the trigger wire does come from the TIPM. It should be a yellow wire with a violet tracer. Power to the starter controller output is provided straight from the battery.

I attached the wiring schematic for the starter circuit, so you have a reference. Let me know if this helps.

I saw this wiring diagram, but can't locate this connector (C10, pin8) on the TPIM. the connectors on the TPIM are labeled A-L.

Hi,

They never make things easy. LOL Take a look below. The C10 connector will be an 8-pin connector, so it isn't big.

If you look at the first picture, it shows where the C10 connects to the TIPM. In pic 2, I highlighted pin 8.

Okay, thanks. I checked C10, pin 8, no voltage when starting, where should I check next for the start voltage? How does C10, pin 8 go through the fuse panel?

Hi,

Steve, if the C10 pin at the TIPM has no power, the TIPM is the likely cause. The TIPM receives power directly from the battery. If we are getting now power out from the TIPM, chances are there is a failure within the printed circuit board integrated into the TIPM.

Let me know if that makes sense. Also, keep in mind, I am assuming you check for power at the TIPM and not the wiring.
