No crank no start

Van listed above is a E450. Where odometer should be it says "check gauges" when this shows up all I get is a click. If this shows and goes off it will crank but no start. If you turn switch on and odometer lights up it will start as normal but most of the time it will do nothing afraid to leave home with it.
