I have the vehicle listed above (vg33e). I went out to start her up a few days ago and bam no ignition at all. Fuel pump runs and pressure is great. Ran perfectly fine the night before as well, no hesitations, nothing. So I found out I am getting no spark. So I have now got the crank sensor replaced. As well as a new cap and rotor. My timing belt is still intact and still cranks the rotor to starting rpm's. I am beginning to think it is something more internal of the distributor such as the ignition coil or ignition control module. Any opinions as to why it may be? As well as is it possible to test and replace these? Replace distributor and still not getting anything. Thanks.

Hello,

It sounds like a fuse or the ECM relay (ignition relay) is not working. Here are two guides to run down to do some testing and the location of the ECM relay and fuses that run the system. I have also included the engine wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works.

and

Check out the diagrams (below). Please run this test and get back to us.

Cheers, Ken

Both the fuses and relay all seem to be in working order. I am unsure if I managed to get TDC properly before replacing the distributor. What is the best way of getting that on my model?

Even though the timing belt looks good it could have still jumped. Can we do a compression test so we can rule that out?
