No crank, anti-theft light, no OBD2 communication?

The car does not crank, the anti-theft light and the parking brake light stay on solid even when key is removed, and doors are shut and locked. I’m not able to read codes, obd2 scanner does not recognize the scanner but gets power.

This sounds like the BCM has gone out, but I need to ask if you have checked the fuses?

Here is a guide to help and the fuse locations in the images below:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

Here is how to replace the BCM in case you need it if the fuses are okay. You can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Which fuses do I need to check? I’ve checked most of them and they seem fine.

Okay, then we should do a CAN scan to confirm the BCM failure. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

and

Here is one for about $99.00 if you need it:

Please go over these guides and report back.

Does the scanner work on other cars? Please check all of the fuses with the key on, here are the wiring diagrams for the ALDL connector so you can test the connections with this guide:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

So, the orange wire has power, and the black wire has ground, correct? Check out the images (below). Please let us know what you find.
