Car one day just didn't start. Tried jumping it first no go. Then got someone to get new battery anyways. Put new starter on, and tell me all those are not the problem because it still does not start. Nothing comes on besides the normal dings from the battery starting up. I think its mechanical or a fuse but I'm no expert any help before I waste tons of money sending it to a shop?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

First, it could be a bad starter, but lets start with the basics. In the under hood fuse box, I need you to check both ignition 1 and 2 fuses. Also, remove the starter relay and switch it with another relay with the same part number. If there isn't one, I will provide a relay test for you. I attached the fuses and the relay pic below to help you locate them.

Got current running through the ignition switch, replaced battery so that is new and running. The old starter works and even tried a new one and still nothing, got a new relay to try and it didn't work and before getting the new one tried switching it with another to test it so not the relay. There is gas in it. Been my daily driver for about a year and a half there is 85,000 on the dash and always get oil changes and up kept. It was sitting outside on a really hot day the sun was beating down on the car and my cars black is what I really remember that day. First it wouldn't start and after a couple cranks it did. And it did that same thing about 5 times had to keep trying to get it to turn over. And since the last turn over it will not crank or make any noise now. Electrical is what I'm thinking?

Okay, we need to make sure there is power getting to the starter. You need to check for 12v at the smaller wire on the starter when the key is in the start position. Also, did you check the fuses I suggested?

I have 12V constant from battery to starter. Turning key to engage ignition switch to crank position, I also have 12V at starter. 12v goes away once key is disengaged from crank position like it should but starter still does not engage. No crank, no start. Ignition relay, starter relay, all fuses interior and under engine bay test good. Bench tested old starter, tested good and even bought a new starter just in case. Still no crank.

Welcome back:

If you have power to it but it still doesn't engage, something has to be wrong with it or there is a voltage drop when under a load. Does voltage change when you try to crank it? If you haven't checked, make sure all battery terminals, connections at the starter, and the main ground from the battery are clean and tight. The only thing I can think of is a weak connection which fails when placed under the heavy load of the starter.

Let me know the results.

Welcome back:

You need to check to see if there is a voltage drop at the starter when it should engage. A weak ground or anything can cause it. Follow the ground cable from the battery to the engine block. Make sure it is clean and tight.

Let me know.
